Joel serves on staff at Redemption Hill Church as the music ministry assistant. There, he plays multiple instruments in the band, directs the worship team through rehearsals, develops volunteer training resources, is the primary audio engineer, keeps the stage and equipment, and prepares the audio, video, and lighting technology each week.

     Because of his multi-faceted role in the church, Redemption Hill members often say to him, "Is there anything you can't do?" to which he jokingly responds, "There's lots of things I can't do!"
